Have a document, public record or firsthand lead about government activity? Call Your Senate welcomes specific, verifiable information that may help explain how federal decisions affect people and communities.

Useful tips may include

  • Government documents or public records
  • Local effects of federal policy
  • Election-administration issues
  • Government spending information
  • Legislative or regulatory developments
  • Public-interest leads, corrections or supporting documentation

How to submit

Email in**@************te.com with “News Tip” in the subject line. Include what happened, where and when it occurred, why it may matter, and links or files that support the information.

Important: Submitting a tip does not guarantee publication or a response. CYS does not currently offer an encrypted tip service and cannot promise anonymity or confidentiality through ordinary email. Do not send information you are not legally permitted to share.

Verification and follow-up

CYS may seek corroboration, contact relevant agencies or parties, review public records and ask follow-up questions. Information will not be published solely because it was submitted as a tip.

Corrections

If your message concerns a possible error in a published article, review the Corrections Policy and include the article link and supporting source.
